About the Recipe
Feed 50-150 mls daily
Ingredients
1/4 cup of raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar with the mother
bones of your choosing, feet tend to be best such as duck feet or pigs trotters, but any bones are good
1/4 cup turmeric powder (organic is best)
1 cup of mushrooms of your choosing, as long as they are edible for humans they are for dogs, roughly chopped
Preparation
Add the bones, vinegar, and water to your pot
Cook according to the tool you are using (20-24 slow cooker, 4-5 pressure cooker
Once done, strain into a pan and add your mushrooms & simmer for at least 1 hour (discard leftover bones safely)
Stir through the turmeric powder once done
Allow to cool and remove the fat layer should you wish to (overweight dogs or those with pancreatitis should not consume this fat, it can be fed with the broth or pushed into smaller moulds to freeze as high fat treats for other dogs)
Remelt the mixture and pour into moulds for freezing, you may need to fish the mushrooms out and place into the moulds to ensure fair distribution.
Notes: Mixture can be stored in the freezer for at least a year, though this is only manufacturer guidance, longer freezing may be fine.
