This blog has been created to help those who are in Northern Ireland. Following discussions with some of those who work in the industry in Northern Ireland we found that there are some challenges for raw feeders.
Things are changing for the better, but work does continue in making raw more accessible. Hopefully this guide will be of some help though in the meantime.
Our supplier map has been updated with a list of great raw pet food suppliers across Northern Ireland. There may be other shops in ROI who can deliver to you in NI but as we are a UK group we can only list the UK based suppliers.
From these shops there are a wide variety of raw available depending upon where you choose to buy, here are some of the options:
CastleRaw - cheaper brand but good quality
Rathlin Raw - Fine but most do contain tripe & salmon oil so be aware if your dog is prone to itching
Approved Raw - very high quality.
Rawlishus - low cost but decent brand
Furbies - low cost but decent
Ambassador Dog Food - fairly new to the scene
Barkin Bistro - Great product, formulated by professional nutritionist
Wilder - Does contain tripe
Raw Necessity - ROI brand but is stocked in NI too
Some great options for DIY raw feeders include:
Tullyelmer - a venison farm which does produce some minces too.
Broughgammon Farm - Specialises in high end rose veal but may sell organs and other produce suitable for DIY feeders
As much as we try in our group to have everything that anyone feeding raw needs, those in Northern Ireland tend to have a very close knit community so may be best placed to support you in some aspects. There is a great group called Raw Feeders Northern Ireland
